Phil's Didgeridoo Page
The following are some didgeridoo (or didjeridu, or yidaki) related
resources on the World Wide Web:
- Didgfest is an Australian
organisation that has run several interesting festivals. Warning: they
appear to be trying to break the world record for "number of gratuitous
GIF animations on a Web pages". Expect slow response.
- Dr. Guy J. Brown has a
Yidaki page,
including some fascinating stuff concerning modelling the acoustics
of the didg using MATLAB. He also has some very interesting links.
- Tanais'
Didjeridu Page has several interesting example of didgeridoo music.
- Yothu Yindi are a wonderful
Australian band who use the didg in most of their music.
- Didjeridu.com is a commercial
site with some interesting stuff. The site uses
frames, which is
rather unfortunate.
If you really like, you can sample
a page I'm putting together which aims to give an on-line didgeridoo
lesson, with some sound samples
of me playing my favourite didg.
