  1. Envisage the Prompt Computer Solutions information system in action. Draw a diagram of the system in a similar fashion to the weather forecasting system we have been using as our framework. Be sure to identify and describe all the components of an information system.

  2. As a first time user, how friendly did you find the Prompt system? Do you think the system would allow an experienced user to efficiently maintain data and retrieve information? Can a computerised information system be suitable for both first time and frequent users? How?

  3. Give an example of a large information system. How does a large information system differ from a small system?

  4. Give an example of some data that is important to you in your daily life. How is it important?

  5. Give an example of some information that is important to you in your daily life. How is it important?

  6. Give an example of an information system that is important to you on a regular basis. How is it important?

  7. For the IS in the question above, produce a list of the components of the IS.

  8. Be prepared to discuss the answers to the questions about Google asked in the previous tutorial.
